Extreme Productions Blog Post

This blog notation below was taken from Extreme Productions Entertainment blog. Thought we would share what one of our team members had to say about our December 19th ~ 2009 courtyard inspired wedding event that we collaborated upon! Enjoy!

Again, endless kudos to Matt Brys and the Extreme Production Team Members for pulling off such a lovely and tremendous custom lighting endevour. You transformed our ballroom space into a true evening inspired outdoor courtyard!

The Sheraton Grand Hotel Transformed for an Italian/Guatemalan Inspired Wedding

December 22, 2009 by extremeprodjs.com

It’s funny. The significance of lighting and production design is never more apparent than when you want to take your guests on a journey or transform an event space to create a theme that fits your personality or vision. When Stephanie and Justin Castillo chose Extreme Productions Entertainment to be their DJ/MC and Lighting and Production company for their wedding, we JUMPED at the chance! Stephanie and Justin told us in our first planning meeting “We want to take our guests on a journey… we want to feel like we are celebrating in a courtyard in Guatemala… or Italy… or any of the other romantic courtyards we have ever visited.”

We love it when we have the opportunity to take guests on a journey!

The beautiful Sheraton Grand Hotel – Sacramento was the stage for this wonderful and fun event. Our design included dividing the ballroom into sections to accomplish the wedding courtyard reception (as pictured above) along with a beautiful rustic chapel inspired church setting for the ceremony to take place (below)

Debra and her team from Tres Fabu Event Planning and Design always go above and beyond. This wedding was no exception. Debra surprised our wonderful clients with a massive (and beautiful) working fountain complete with Italian paver tile. She even laid moss in the cracks to make it appear as if this piece of the courtyard had been there for years! Talk about a WOW factor!

When the bride and groom entered their reception in a private “room reveal”, their reaction said it all… “Over the top! WOW! We could not have imagined anything like this… we cannot believe this is OUR wedding!”

Those are the reactions we strive for!

We just received a wonderful thank you card from Stephanie and Justin! “Thank you for continuing to amaze us-days after our wedding. You really are the creators of magic and we are still in awe of how amazing our wedding was…”

Stephanie and Justin… the pleasure was all ours.

Our gratitude to Jana, Marcus, Mark, Chef Russell and the rest of the wonderful team at the Sheraton Grand Hotel Sacramento for always allowing us to create something fun and over the top for our clients. You are ALWAYS fun to work with!!! This event could not have been accomplished without the foresight, design inspiration and passion of Debra and her team at Tres Fabu Event Planning and Design. Debra… you never cease to amaze. Shelly with Floral Artistry… WOW! The floral… breathtaking! Our thanks to Cinzo Photography for the pictures for this BLOG (you rock!). Our deepest thanks to Bev, Stephanie, Justin and the family for allowing us to work with you, to take your vision and produce it for you. It was a blast.
